The Grand Pavillion
Built in 1932, the Grand Pavilion with its octagonal dome and striking frontage has dominated the Porthcawl seafront for 70 years, originally intended as a Palm Court, the Pavilion has always operated as a multifunctional venue.
With a full Ballroom strung dance floor, professionally equipped stage, lighting and sound and modern catering facilities, the Grand Pavilion continues to offer a variety of top class entertainment for tourists and residents of South Wales. Today, its operations cover a huge range o functions, including Conferences, Weddings and Fayres, as well as Comedy, Variety, Theatre and Musicals. In addition, to these ‘One Nighters’, the Grand Pavilion hosts a four week Pantomime. The Venue also boasts a spacious Café Bar, with splendid views of the Promenade and Bristol Channel where patrons can enjoy pre – theatre drinks. The Grand Pavilion also now offers licensed Civil Weddings.
